A Short History of PPVLS and the Centre Hall Area Branch Library
A group of local volunteers came together to establish The Centre Hall Library Association in April 1993 with the dream of building a public library in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania. After years of fundraising, they realized that dream in 1997 when the Centre Hall Area Branch Library was built and opened as a branch of the Centre County Library and Historical Museum. Over the years, the Centre Hall Library Association worked to pay off the library building mortgage early, and continued fundraising to assist the library with additional supplies. In 2022, the Centre Hall Library Association changed its name to Partnership for Penns Valley Library Services (PPVLS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. PPVLS supports programs, supplies, large print books, DVDs, and extra little things that make the Centre Hall Area Branch Library special to the community. Now the much-loved library is running out of space! The library needs more room for children and adult programming, shelving for books, computer stations, storage and activities. PPVLS aims to support the Centre Hall Area Branch Library in its need for growth and to help bring more library services to all of Penns Valley.

Spring Steak Fundraiser
Join us for a steak dinner at the Centre Hall American Legion or pick up take out on Saturday, May 3rd at 6:30 PM to support Partnership for Penns Valley Library Services! There will be a choice of steak or vegetarian lasagna, a basket raffle, and a 50/50 raffle. Come to enjoy dinner, games of chance, and your friends in the community! Tickets are $30 each. Order tickets via phone, email, or at the library.

PPVLS Accepting Book & DVD Donations from April 1st to June 2nd
Donations will be sold during the annual PPVLS book sale at the Centre Hall Area Branch Library on Friday, June 27th and Saturday, June 28th.
We are looking for popular adult fiction, children's books, DVDs, CDs, LPs, puzzles and non-fiction such as cookbooks, biographies, DIY books, etc.
We are NOT accepting VHS tapes or cassettes, reference books, textbooks, or anything in poor condition (dirty, moldy, damaged covers or pages).
Please bring donations to the circulation desk during open hours. Call ahead if donations are more than 3 boxes.
Do not leave book donations in the Book Drop or outside the library doors.
