Overdrive/Libby Bug Fix Notes
Previously, Centre County Libraries card holders have erroneously had the ability to log in on Overdrive/Libby as both a Schlow patron and a Centre County Library patron. This resulted in a variety of confusion, such as having books requested or checked out and not being able to access them.
A patch going into effect Friday, November 1st will fix the issue.
What does this mean for you?
Wait times may be reduced.
You can only check out 10 Libby items at a time and request 10 Libby items at a time.
Any holds you may currently have at both libraries will be merged, no holds should be lost.
If you currently have more requests than the limit, you will not lose any, you just won’t be able to make any more until you are under the limit.
I can’t log into Libby. What do I do?
A recent update to Overdrive/Libby fixed a longstanding error that allowed accounts under multiple libraries. Please select your home library to login to borrow. If you are unsure of what your home library designation is, give the library a call and we can look it up to confirm.
