Make Library Improvements a Reality

Lighting Improvements, January 2024

Underneath the word, "Before", is a picture of a bookshelf of new library books with no lights over it. Underneath the word, "after", is a picture of the same bookshelf of new books with lighting over it.

The Friends of the Holt Memorial Library recently funded lighting improvements to highlight the children’s and new book sections of the library. The new lighting over the new book section is particularly exciting, as now the books can be viewed at night. Previously, most of the lighting for this book shelf was provided by natural sunlight from the nearby window. Now with the new lighting, library users can read the spines of the books even when the sun isn’t shining.
