Play, Learn, and Grow Workshop: Session 1

As a parent, do you want to be better equipped to serve as your child's first and best teacher? Consider attending the Bellefonte Library's Parent-Child workshop: "Play, Learn, and Grow." The program is 5 weeks long, with sessions a bit over 1 hour every week. It is open to all families with a child or children between the ages of 1-3. Every session will include time and supplies for educational play between parents/guardians and children. A different early childhood specialist guest from the local community that parents can speak with and learn from will also be present at every session! Join us in the Bellefonte Library Children's Area - a place for you to play with your child and talk with other parents.

This workshop will take place on the following dates before the hours of typical library operation:

  • Tuesday, March 5, 2025 from 10:45 AM - 12 PM

  • Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 10:45 AM - 12 PM

  • Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 10:45 AM - 12 PM

  • Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 10:45 AM - 12 PM

  • Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10:45 AM - 12 PM

All attendees must be preregistered to attend. Siblings and other children under the care of primary caregivers of eligible children and additional caregivers are welcome.

Each Play, Learn, and Grow Workshop session concludes with clean-up practice followed by a short gathering time.

Please note - this program is 5 consecutive weeks. Registrants must be able to attend at least 4 programs to be eligible. Click the link below to register.

This workshop is offered as a part of Bellefonte Library's designation as a Family Place Library. This designation means that the Bellefonte Library has incorporated various core components into its operations that create a family friendly environment: making itself a community center for literacy, early childhood development, parent education and engagement, family support and community information.
