The Centre County Library Hooks and Needles are a group of knitters, crocheters, and crafty people who meet once a week to share their projects, knowledge, and enthusiasm for fiber arts. They have worked on several charitable projects, including patchwork lap blankets out of knitted or crocheted 8x8in squares for the Alzheimer's ward at Centre Crest, and 4x7in prayer patches for soldiers overseas to carry with them. Come to our Summer Reading kickoff party that will be held in the Children's Garden behind the Centre County Museum. We will have carnival games, snacks, raffle prizes, parachute games and storytime every half hour. Freckles the Clown will be there and will be making balloon animals. There is something for everyone. Pick up your Summer Reading Program bag filled with goodies and learn about fun activities at the library this summer. We can't wait to see you there. |

Come and see the wondrous illusions of M & M Magic. M & M Magic are two teenaged brothers from Reynoldsville, PA. Bobby and Danny love magic and putting a smile on the faces of their audience. Expect to see a live dove release as part of their act. Both brothers are members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) and The Central Pennsylvania Magicians Club. This program is for children ages 4 and up. |
