Thursday - Bellefonte Hooks & Needles

The Centre County Library Hooks and Needles are a group of knitters, crocheters, and crafty people who meet once a week to share their projects, knowledge, and enthusiasm for fiber arts.  They have worked on several charitable projects, including patchwork lap blankets out of knitted or crocheted 8x8in squares for the Alzheimer's ward at Centre Crest, and 4x7in prayer patches for soldiers overseas to carry with them.  Hooks and Needles meets every Thursday from 1:00-2:30 in the Centre County Library in Bellefonte.

Bring your children to celebrate the 2014 Centre County Reads book "Packing for Mars" with the Centre County Library's Mars Day!

Join us in the children's space from 1:00-1:30 for Mars stories, from 1:30 to 2:30 participate in exciting Mars activities, and then at 2:30 stay and watch the movie "Mars Needs Moms"

The Parent-Child Workshop is a four week program for children who are 12-36 months of age and their caregivers.  This unique, grant-funded program emphasizes learning through play.  It aims to encourage social interactions betweens parents and their children.  It aims to help parents build a support network of other parents and community agencies that help children.
