The Centre County Library Hooks and Needles are a group of knitters, crocheters, and crafty people who meet once a week to share their projects, knowledge, and enthusiasm for fiber arts.  They have worked on several charitable projects, including patchwork lap blankets out of knitted or crocheted 8x8in squares for the Alzheimer's ward at Centre Crest, and 4x7in prayer patches for soldiers overseas to carry with them.  Hooks and Needles meets every Thursday from 1:00-2:30 in the Centre County Library in Bellefonte.

Get Ready for Summer!


Join us in making Caribbean hand and foot jewelry! 

 

Evening open to all teens, grades 6-12.

 

Supplies provided by the library.  Teens are welcome to bring their own beads to incorporate into their jewelry.

If you can imagine it, you can build it!  Children are encouraged to build unique creations using legos or duplos.  Children are asked to make a card to be displayed with their project.  Children can work individually or in groups.

Wednesday-Centre Hall- Fizz, Bang Eureka! Afterschool Science

This month we will experiment with simple chemistry.  What happens when you combine substances?  You convert them into something new.  We are going to make: glowing water, bouncing bubbles and slime, just to name a few.

 

Fizz Bang Eureka Afterschool Science is open to all school-aged kids.
