Mother Goose on the Loose is an award winning early literacy program for children from birth to three with their parents or caregivers. Mother Goose on the Loose uses a variety of activities such as rhymes, songs, puppets, and instruments to foster speech development, motor coordination, confidence, and sensitivity to others.

Wednesday - Bellefonte - Dream Big Read! Exercise with Max Bair

Come to the library to learn about physical fitness and do a fun exercise routine! This program will be led by Max Bair a high school senior with an interest in physical fitness and training.  Ages 4+

All participants will receive a free bag full of toys to help you have fun while exercising.  These bags are provided by Capitol BlueCross

Meet the real Punxsutawney Phil! 

Phil and his handler will present information about the history and tradition of Groundhog Day.  We will read a story about Punxsutawney Phil and bring your cameras; there will be time for pictures with Phil at the end of the program!

 This program is part of the 2012 Dream Big Read! Summer Reading Program.

All program attendees on July 18th will receive a Applebees Children’s Meal Coupon

Wednesday - Bellefonte - Dream Big Read! Nocturnal Animals Presentation with the Pennsylvania Game Commission

Wildlife Conservation Officer Dan Murray will be coming to the library to talk about Fur Bearer Habitats and nocturnal animals, which are animals that are active during the night. 

He will be presenting a short talk for families and will be bringing some skins and specimens of animals for participants to touch. 

Learn about nocturnal animals around us!  Ages 4+

Wednesday - Bellefonte Preschool Storytime

Join us for books, music, and literacy enriching activities.  Today we will read books about Camping and Star Gazing. All ages are welcome but this group is targeted for ages 3-6.

Preschool storytime will be held in the children's garden behind the museum except on rainy days.
