Join us as we welcome Shaver's Creek Environmental Center to the Library.  They will present their Birds of Prey Program which features four raptors.  Raptors are birds that use their keen senses, especially their sense of  vision to hunt for their prey.

This presentation will also discuss birds who have adaptations that allow them to stay up all night. 

This program is for children ages 4+

Come and see the Bellefonte Branch of the Centre County Library at the Bellefonte Children's Fair.  Make a butterfly craft or hear a story.  Children's Fair is located at the intersection of Curtin and Armour Streets

Come to the North Atherton Farmer's Market and hear some stories while you shop.  We will be making a butterfly craft and will be having storytime on a blanket.  The Bookmobile will also be there for you to choose some stories to take home.

Come to our Summer Reading 2012 kickoff party that will be held in the Children's Garden behind the Centre County Museum.  We will have carnival games, snacks, raffle prizes, face painting, and storytime every half hour.  Come on board the Bookmobile.  Freckles the Clown will be there and will be making balloon animals.  Meet Andy the Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse!  There is something for everyone.

The Centre County Library Hooks and Needles are a group of knitters, crocheters, and crafty people who meet once a week to share their projects, knowledge, and enthusiasm for fiber arts.  They have worked on several charitable projects, including patchwork lap blankets out of knitted or crocheted 8x8in squares for the Alzheimer's ward at Centre Crest, and 4x7in prayer patches for soldiers overseas to carry with them.  Hooks and Needles meets every Thursday from 1:30-2:30 in the Centre County Library in Bellefonte.
