We welcome your children to the Library! In order to make the library a safe and pleasant
environment for your children, the following rules have been established:
Children under the age of eight
are not permitted in the library without a parent/custodian who is
age
sixteen or older.
A parent/custodian must remain in
the building while children under eight are attending special programs.
Children between the ages of
eight and sixteen may use the library without
parental/custodian supervision.
A child whose behavior is
disruptive may be asked to leave the
library after receiving one warning.
More significant or repeated disruptive
behavior may result in limited library access.
Please arrange to pick up your children before the library
closes. Library hours are posted on the front door.
Your cooperation will
make the library a positive experience for your children and is much
appreciated by the library staff.
The Centre County Library System gladly accepts, and is
grateful for, unconditional gifts. In accepting gifts, the following
stipulations will apply:
The library reserves the
right to decide if a gift will be added to its collection.
The library
reserves the right to sell, give to other libraries, or otherwise dispose of
gift materials
that are not added to the library collection.
When materials
are added to the collection, no restrictions on the library's use of the
gift materials
may be made by the donor.
Gifted materials
become the sole property of the library. They may not be reclaimed.
