 A community presentation supported by a mini-grant from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, this interactive presentation will focus on the impact of poverty and food insecurity, and how children can be both hungry and overweight at the same time. The session will explore the effects of hunger and overweight on children and identify ways that people in the community can help address the problem.

The Centre County Library Hooks and Needles are a group of knitters, crocheters, and crafty people who meet once a week to share their projects, knowledge, and enthusiasm for fiber arts.  They have worked on several charitable projects, including patchwork lap blankets out of knitted or crocheted 8x8in squares for the Alzheimer's ward at Centre Crest, and 4x7in prayer patches for soldiers overseas to carry with them.  Hooks and Needles meets every Thursday from 1:00-2:30 in the Centre County Library in Bellefonte.  All skill levels are welcomed, we...

Drop in the MuseumGardenduring these times (weather permitting, alternate location children’s area of the library) to read stories about cars and vehicles and make a vehicle craft.

Come down to the library on Saturday and spend some time looking at books and playing with our toys.

Come to our Summer Reading kickoff party that will be held in the Children's Garden behind the Centre County Museum. 

We will have carnival games, snacks, raffle prizes, parachute games and storytime every half hour.  Freckles the Clown will be there and will be making balloon animals.   There is something for everyone.
