The Centre County Library, its branches, and the Bookmobile provide free library service to all Centre County Residents.
Library cards issues by any Centre County Public Library will be honored at all public libraries in Centre County.
To receive your free library card, you must provide proper identification and complete an application form. Bring your card when you visit the library and report any change of address. A fee of $1.00 is charged to replace a lost card.
All circulating items, with the exception of entertainment DVDs, have a loan period of 21 days.
Entertainment DVD Loans:
Entertainment DVDs cam be borrowed at the cost of $1.00 for 3 days. Fines on Entertainment DVDs are $1.00 a day thereafter.

- YA/Children's Department materials - $.15/day
- Short Term DVDs - $1.00/day
- Interlibrary Loans - $.50/day
Individuals who are homebound may register for Library By Mail. Large print books and books on tape/CD are also available. Please contact the Library at 814-355-1516 for more information.
Library materials and resources are available to all library users, regardless of age. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for what their children access, read and view.
Any library cardholder in good standing may access the Internet from the library.
Parents or guardians are responsible for the information and materials accessed by minors under the age of 18 at our computers.
Adult Internet users are responsible for the information they choose to view.
How to get a library card:
To receive a library card, you must provide a photo ID and complete an application form. Children under the age of 12 must have a parent/guardian present in order to issue a library card to them. Any person over the age of 12, who does not own an ID, can have a parent vouch for him/her. The person getting the library card must be present at the time the library card is issued. Library card applications can either be downloaded from this page or obtained at the front desk of the library.
