September 2010 Programs & Events
ALL LOCATIONS (Centre County Library/Bellefonte, Bookmobile, Aaronsburg, Centre Hall, and Holt/Philipsburg): All locations (Centre County Library/Bellefonte, Bookmobile, Aaronsburg, Centre Hall, and Holt/Philipsburg) will be closed September 4, 5 and 6 for Labor Day.
ALL LOCATIONS (Centre County Library/Bellefonte, Bookmobile, Aaronsburg, Centre Hall, and Holt/Philipsburg): Through Friday, September 3—WIN A PERSONAL VISIT FROM THE BOOKMOBILE! Check out at least one item at any of our locations between Monday, August 9 and Friday, September 3 to earn a chance to win a personal visit from the Bookmobile this fall at the location of your choice within Centre County. One-hour visits will be scheduled on Fridays between 10am and 5pm; locations must be pre-approved by Bookmobile staff. One raffle ticket per person per visit; one winner per location.

Centre County Library/Bellefonte—call 355-1516 for more information: BOOK BABIES—Stories and movement activities geared for kids up to 2 years old with a favorite adult in the Centre County Library Kidzone in Bellefonte: September 14 at 9:15am: “Down on the Farm”—Stories and activities about farm animals. September 21 at 9:15am: “Meow!”—Cat stories and activities. September 28 at 9:15am: “Woof!”—Dog stories and activities.
STORYTIME—Stories and related activities geared for 2- to 6-year-olds with a favorite adult in the Centre County Library Kidzone in Bellefonte: September 13 at 1:30pm and September 14 at 10:30am: “The Cow Loves Cookies”—Join us for cow tales followed by a cookie and milk snack. September 20 at 1:30pm and September 21 at 10:30am: “The Cat’s Meow”—Today we’re sharing feline stories followed by a furry guest. September 27 at 1:30pm and September 28 at 10:30am: “Dog Days”— Listen to dog tales and meet our four-legged guest.
FAMILY FUN NIGHT—Friday evening activities geared for school age kids with their favorite adults in the Centre County Library in Bellefonte: September 17 at 6:30pm: “Back to School Bingo”—Kids who know their letters and numbers, along with a favorite adult, can try their luck during this after-hours evening of bingo with books as prizes for the winners.

Wednesday, September 15 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Centre County Library in Bellefonte—ADULT BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP The Adult Book Discussion group meets the third Wednesday of each month in the Library building at 6:30pm. Come pick up your copy of the September selection at the Centre County Library Circulation Desk!
Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26 during Library hours at the Centre County Library in Bellefonte (200 N. Allegheny Street)—USED BOOK/AV SALE Hardcover books and DVDs/CDs for $1 each or 6 for $5, and paperback books and VHS or audiocassettes for 50 cents each or 3 for $1. We've got a little bit of everything!
